Question by East Coast: How do I get an unsecured loan with a fixed low rate APR?
This would be a Personal loan to be used for debt consolidation of high rate credit cards

Answer by vulcan_alex
You probably can’t, depending on what you call a low rate. Better than this use one of the known ways of paying off your credit cards rather than changing debt around in an attempt to live as you do and have less debt.

Question by raven1984: My husband and I are thinking about taking out a loan to pay off credit card debt and medical bills.?
Our house is paid for and his parents think it is a bad idea to take out a loan for unsecured debt in trade for secured being the house. Though this would save us about $ 500 a month to be able to not have o put anything else on cards and just pay cash?? Good idea or bad and if so what type of loan should we get??

Chapter 13 bankruptcy helps you to pay back some of your debts, if not all through a repayment plan. The debts that are dischargeable through Chapter 13 are personal loans, credit cards, debts due to fraud or false representations, and few particular income tax debts, debts that are incurred by willful and malicious injury to another person or their property, and mortgage. The non dischargeable debts are any long term debt such as a home mortgage, education loans that are guaranteed or government funded, payments that are imposed upon you due to criminal convictions, debts for alimony and child support and debts that you have incurred due to death or personal injury caused because of your driving in an intoxicated manner.
What are the advantages for filing a Chapter 13 bankruptcy?

Question by : personal loans with co-signer?
I just wanted to kno if I ruined the chances of obtaining a unsecured personal loan by having my sister apply for one at her bank as the primary and I didn’t try to be a co-borrower cuz I didn’t want my bad credit to affect the decision, given that her credit score is decent but annual income is much lower then mine but she’s more responsible and good with money. So my question is that with me not being on the loan, will that help her chances since I heard they say its bettter to be on a loan app as a co-borrower since credit is bad and the good credit should be primary as oppose to not being on it at all

Question by KW: The Parkway Lending Group, have they scamed you lately?
I was contacted by a gentlemand named Joshua Redd who stated that I was approved for a loan of $ 5000.00. He advised me because I have some credit issues that I would have to secure the loan with $ 1200 which would equl the first 8 months worth of loan payments. So basically I would not have a payment due until Aug of 2009. I agreed (like an idiot) to wire some lady named Linda Price in Canada $ 1200.00 on a Thursday and supposedly the funds were to be deposited in my account on Friday. Well I wired the money as promised, called Joshua with the money gram number and he stated the funds were good to go and would be in my account the next day. Well Friday came around and I received a phone call from a gentle man named Mr. Taft. He advised me that due to additional insurance that was needed on my loan I would need to come up with another $ 1000.00 or they would refund me my money. I advised him that I sent him every penny I had to my name and I was really counting on the $ 5000.00. I advised him to refund my money. Well for some reason or antoher he stated they would not be able to put the funds back in my account until December 17th. I wired the money on Nov. 20th. I told him that I was going through a divorce and I am a single mom who is not getting child support and I could not afford to be out the money that long. They basically told me to see if I could barrow money from family to get me by. What I don’t understand is that they were going to be able to put money in my account on Friday originally but all of the sudden now that they owe me money it can’t be done until Dec. 17th. Well I was so upset to say the least. I responded to a yahoo question at the time of someone else who asked about their company stating my experience. I received a phone call from Mr. Taft the very next day threatening me with legal action if I did not delete my posting. I advised him to PLEASE have his legal dept. call me. I would love to speak to them. He also advised me that if I would delete my comment that he would refund my $ 1200 a week earlier on Dec. 10th. But wait a minute I was advised there was NO way they could get the funds back to me any earlier than Dec. 17th. This whole deal sounds like a scam to me. I contacted the FBI about my dealings with them and they advised me NEVER to wire anyone money for a loan. So please if you are reading this and are thinking about doing it, DON’T. I have been put in a very bad place due to these people. I was unable to afford my daycare for the next week until I got paid again and almost lost my job. I should have been smarter considering I have a child to take care of. But that is what these people want, they want to suck people in who are in a bad place in life and need a little help in my opinion. And to top it off, I called them again yesterday to see if they were going to refund my money on the “10th” they stated because I keep posting negative stuff on the internet about them they will not be refunding my money b/c their legal dept is involved. Ha ha. Excuses.. excuses.

Question by S.N.D.: Who can give me a bad credit unsecured loan? PLEASE HELP ME!!?
Hello! I was referred to you from someone that knew you and I’m having a problem with paying for college. I’m currently in college & I’m 19 years old. I will be beginning my Nursing classes very soon & HOPE has helped me but I’m still $ 3500 short in order to attend my classes. I have tried scholarships & none of them are responding back! I have tried for grants & I get the same outcome! Can you help me find a student loan that would grant me approval? I have a part time job as an Accounting Clerk. My credit is very poor because when I turned 18 my mother messed up my credit by putting credit cards in my name as well as putting checking accounts in my name and overdrafting my bank accounts by writing bad checks. My credit score is below 530 & I’m slowly trying to build it back up. I don’t have any family members to cosign with me because they all have horrible credit. So because of these circumstances I’m not able to get approved for a loan! I’m a very dependable individual & I would greatly appreciate it if you could please guide me & tell me what loans I can be approved for. Thank you so much!
